Streamlined name reflects clearer mission to connect companies, researchers, and public sector with accessible AI expertise and supercomputing
Following a strategic review of its brand positioning, Mimer AI Factory will now operate under the name Sweden AI Factory.
“The new name confirms both what we do and our national mandate: to provide access and expert guidance to companies, researchers, and the public sector as they advance their AI projects,” said Rossen Apostolov, Director of Sweden AI Factory. “Our mission remains unchanged, our name now simply reflects it more clearly.”
All platforms, communications, and external resources will transition to the new name over the coming days. Existing partnerships and research initiatives will continue without interruption.
Since April 2025, Sweden AI Factory has partnered with more than 200 organisations while growing to 75 employees—scaling the team to match expanding demand for services. Team members range from AI specialists, HPC engineers, sector consultants, data scientists to communicators and more.
Sweden AI Factory provides access to AI-optimised supercomputing and expert support to companies, researchers, public agencies, and startups. Hosted by NAISS (the National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden) in partnership with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, and funded through the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking and Swedish sources including the Swedish Research Council and Vinnova, Sweden AI Factory is one of 32 AI innovation sites across Europe.
Sweden AI Factory operates specialised teams working across life science, autonomous systems, materials science, gaming, and trustworthy AI and more. We partner with Swedish universities, research institutes, and industry across multiple sectors. This includes Swedish science parks in Skövde, Jonköping, and Gotland, as well as partners like Berget AI, SwedenBio, NBIS, and SciLifeLab.
